Ceremony & Ritual

There comes a time when we have done all we can to welcome and tend our sorrows and we have the beautiful opportunity to take our nature-deficient hearts and turn to the earth itself and the cosmos to support us in our effort to move this grief further along.  There is only so much we can manage, heal, and understand through our human lens.  Ritual is the simple act of creating sacred space with the intention of inviting nature and the wisdom keepers from the other world to join us and support us in our efforts to heal and grow.  We can ask the trees and rivers and the stones to help us hold our sorrow and offer it a place of rest and refuge.  We can respectfully and reverently invite our ancestors and loved ones who have crossed over to walk alongside us and gift us with their support and compassion.  By engaging in ceremony and ritual we are seeking help and guidance from something larger than ourselves.

“The purpose of ritual is to create harmony between the human world and the world of the gods, ancestors, and nature.”
